Dot NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar company and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no special prerequisites on who can book a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
